First of all I would recommend not doing it. You'll lose a ton of qps, only trial and error defeats it. You'll looking at losing 40 qps and gaining about 8, if you're lucky, plus a sword that will give you a few qps but who wants to cash in rewards? You're looking at a net loss.
If you still must do it, the path to the guardian of Ilkan from the beginning is east, south, west, east. That should save a few qps.
